What?

Return to the legendary Abercarn, an epic riding spot nestled in the golden valley. We've resurrected this gem and brought it back to life. It's a labyrinth of trails that locals adore. With massive props to the builders, this place is truly special.

Where?

Abercarn is situated on a hillside near Risca and of course on the doorstep of Abercarn. Like most places in the valleys you're never far from a major route and that's no exception here!. We'll have event HQ at the top of the hill-due to world renown industrial heritage, the steep sided valleys in South Wales have limited spaces in the valley bottoms, where commercial and residential properties have taken over. Wide open spaces are on the valley tops where farms now flourish where mines once dominated.

LPS electrical contractors are kindly working with us to provide a battery charging point, more details will be released in due course.

Minimum age is 10 for MTB and 14 for eMTB.

Elite M/F 18+

U13 M/F (If you are 13 during 2024 then you are U15)

U15 M/F (If you are 15 during 2024 then you are U18)

U18 M/F (If you are 18 during 2024 then you are U21)

U21 M/F (If you are 21 during 2024 then you are Senior)

Senior M/F:  from 21-29 (If you are 30 at any time during 2024 then you are Master)

Master M/F: from 30-39 (If you are 40 at any time during 2024 then you are Veteran)

Veteran M/F: from 40-49: (If you are 50 at any time during 2024 then you are Grand Veteran)

Grand Vet M/F: from 50-59 (If you are 60 at any time during 2024 then you are Super Veteran)

Super Vet M/F: aged 60+

Fun M/F: any age

Hardtails

Hardtail M/F: any age.

eMTB.  Minimum age for eMTB is 14

M/F under 40

M/F 40-49 (If you are 50 at any time during 2024 then you should choose 50-59 category)

M/F 50-59 (If you are 60 at any time during 2024 then you should choose 60+ category)

Teams

Entry is free.

Can be any size BUT! Only the fastest 3 riders will count.

We will run mixed teams, female teams and male teams.

Elites may be part of a team however, their times will not count.

Only one bike type so, all MTB or, all eMTB.

To be eligible simply input a team name in to the team box.

Entering an under-18 rider.

The parent/guardian needs to register and be logged in as themselves.  When making the entry either select the under-18 from the Person to Enter drop-down box if you have previously made an entry for then, otherwise select 'Somebody already registered with SiEntries' or 'Somebody not registered with SiEntries' as applicable.
